Corporate Sponsorship Director Responsibilities

The Corporate Sponsorship Director works closely with corporate representatives to effectively communicate the branding and mission of the Proud Scholars Organization. The Director will work closely with corporations to solicit financial support and to build relationships with identified representatives. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with corporations to publish timely Proud Scholar information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials related to corporate sponsorship.
  • Ensure the communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
  • Grow corporate business supporter base and traffic.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Director to plan social media engagement and networking that aligns with partnership specifications.
  • Build and sustain lasting relationships with corporate business teams and communities.
  • Identify and sustain lasting relationships with corporate associate resource groups that focus on LGBT support and advocacy.
  • Produce and publish mass communications with email blasts and marketing campaigns tailored for corporate environments.
  • Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
  • Build database resources for all corporate contacts, address, and related data.
  • Document partnership presence at events, conferences, and speaking engagements that align with agreed upon sponsorship requirements.
  • Advocate on behalf of the Proud Scholars brand with corporate stakeholders across all communications channels and vehicles.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop the advertising, marketing and promotion plans for corporate businesses.
  • Report on sponsorship committees and strategy group activities as it relates to small business.
  • Create and document all sponsorship processes and procedures for future use.
