Interfaith Services Director Responsibilities

The Interfaith Director will work to create strong community support and coordination among the interfaith congregations. This will include but not be limited to volunteer recruitment, marketing and special events that focus on the interfaith community members and their interests to support and collaborate in the LGBT community.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with local religious organizations to publish timely Proud Scholar information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials.
  • Ensure the communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
  • Grow local religious supporter base and traffic to Proud Scholar events.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Director to plan social media engagement and networking.
  • Build and sustain lasting relationships with religious communities.
  • Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
  • Build a database of resources for all contacts, addresses and related data.
  • Review all of the content, contacts and addresses to ensure consistency and accuracy of all data on a regular basis.
  • Document presence of Proud Scholars at religious events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Advocate on behalf of the Proud Scholars brand with religious organizations.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop the advertising, marketing and promotion plans for the religious communities.
  • Report on interfaith committees and strategy group activities.
  • Create and document all interfaith processes and procedures for future use.
