Local Events Director Responsibilities

The Local Events Director will work with small business owners to create event programing that promotes strong business relationships in the community and raises awareness and fund raising for Proud Scholars. This Director position will work closely with the Main Events Director and the Public Relations Director to implement events across their assigned marketing area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Development, production and delivery of small events from proposal to delivery which will include but not be limited to:
    • Small business events.
    • Public events
    • Sporting events and league engagement.
  • Delivering events on time, within budget, that meet expectations.
  • Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities for every event.
  • Advocate on behalf of the Proud Scholars brand with small business owners, leagues, or groups across all communications channels and vehicles.
  • Managing supplier relationships.
  • Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the local events understudy and committees.
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery.
  • Report on local event committees and strategy group activities as it relates to small scale implementation.
  • Create and document all activities, processes and procedures for future event management use.
